Neighbourhood Pet Care was established in Huddersfield in 2010. We will cover the Colne Valley and surrounding area.
Rebecca Friedl-Hirst, the founder of Neighbourhood Pet Care has a bachelors degree in Animal Management with experiences ranging from living on a farm, working for vet surgeries, animal charities,hair dressing, NHS domestic services and elderly care work. She recently offered free services aswell as food delivery to those affected by Coronavirus pandemic isolation.
We are currently a team of 12, with each person working across their own specific areas, preferred animals and personal experiances aswell as fitting in other part time jobs. We all work together covering each others holidays and sickness so no customer of Neighbourhood Pet Care is ever let down.
This visit can include:
•Letting your pet in or out of your home/ their cage on request.
•Feeding your pet, and following dietary requirements. Providing fresh water and cleaning food utensils.
•Administration of medications by veterinary guidance and approval.
•General health checks and grooming.
•Changing the litter tray, cages or tanks and disposing of waste correctly.
•Strokes, handling, playing, providing enrichment and lots of attention depending on personality and needs.
All materials and apparatus will need to be provided by yourself to ensure consistency and comfort for your pet.
Whilst you are away we can close curtains, turn lights on and off, collect mail, water plants, empty rubbish, bring in milk and make sure your home is secure for your peace of mind.
